E-Business Shop

This project already existed when I came to Bayoonet AG and was one of their largest CI/CD efforts to date. The product is a custom web-shop implementation for corporate customers who can either order existing configurations or customise their products entirely in the shop. The shop implemented a lot of modern features such as SSO, a database management system, complex administration possibilities, various ways of order processing (web frontend, EDIFACT, other protocolls via web dav/sterling), customisation tools, performant search technologies for dynamic products and proces and availability micro services.

At the beginning I got to implement a lot of new features that had to be implemented using full stack knowledge. The frontend was mainly written in razor pages (formerly ASP web forms) in conjunction with handlebars templates and jQuery javascript manipulation. The backend was ASP.NET MVC with Entity Framework and Linq used to administer data manipulations in the database. Later I also got to implement more backend related tasks such as support for various timezones or the implementation/adaption of xml based protocolls used for the order process.

The tools I used during this project were Visual Studio 2017 and MS SQL Server Management Studio 2017. The project was organised using Team Foundation Server which is now Azure Dev Ops.
